Our love for Japan translates into our carpentry. Kanzen gives your interior a unique touch with burnt wood, the result of a technique known as Shou Sugi Ban. We burn the wooden surface, which creates a protective carbon layer that stops insects, fire and weather influences. Thanks to this carbon layer, no oil or varnish is needed and the wood is extra durable.
Shou Sugi Ban is perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. The burnt wood is, for example, particularly suited for façade covering and exclusive furniture. We have mastered both the traditional Japanese wood burning technique and the manual one. We dedicate ourselves daily to further modernising the Shou Sugi Ban technique.
